Poke Connections Modes

Poke Connections is a free, fan-made browser puzzle: 16 Pokemon names, four hidden groups, four lives. It is not affiliated with NYT Connections, Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Pokennection. This page is the full mode list. A row that says Planned is not a link, because I do not publish a mode page before the mode can be played.

Pokennection's how-to-play page describes extra modes I am not building: Adventure, Group Hunter, Cascade, and a shiny feature. Polygon's 15 Jul 2026 piece describes Adventure as Kanto routes and gyms. Those are that game's designs. Copying them would make this site a clone, so they are absent here on purpose.

What live means

Daily is the homepage board. The number is the count of UTC dates since 1 Nov 2026. Unlimited and Expert generate boards in this browser with the same supported category properties and a different seed. Expert refuses primary-type groups, so a yellow row there is a colour or a first letter, not "Fire-type".

Impossible would need categories I cannot support from the extract I hold, such as signature moves or ability trivia, without a second source for every label. 5×5 needs a 25-tile layout and five lives. Neither is on the site. Gen 1 and no-overlap are filters I have not shipped. The overlap check that does exist sits on the puzzle maker, where it warns the author, and it is not a play mode.

FatherKip's public videos use the titles Expert and Impossible for a different game's daily. I am not numbering those days, and I am not treating a view count as a reason to publish an empty mode.
