About Poke Connections

Poke Connections is a free, fan-made browser puzzle: 16 Pokemon names, four hidden groups, four lives. It is not affiliated with NYT Connections, Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Pokennection. The site is run by the Poke Connections desk. Write to [email protected] for a correction, a takedown, or a press question.

The name is descriptive. People also search Poke Connection, Pokemon Connection, and PokeConnect. Those phrases are not separate products on this domain. There is one game here, at the homepage, plus the help pages around it.

How a board is made

Each daily board is fixed for a UTC date, starting 1 Nov 2026. I draw four groups from the public Pokedex extract: a primary type, a generation or a colour, a letter or a second type, and a narrow set such as legendary, mythical, baby, or one evolution line. I keep a board only when those four groups are the single full cover among the supported category properties. A name may still look like it fits a second story. That is intentional.

I do not copy another site's daily groups or category titles. Pokemon names in the tiles are the English names from the extract. I do not ship official artwork. Pokemon.com's legal page says the company’s marks stay with their owners, and that is the line I follow.

Corrections

If a group label does not match the extract, email the date and the four names. I would rather blank a cell than defend a number I cannot recompute. The editorial policy says how a fact earns a source count. The privacy policy names every storage key and says which third parties load.
