Terms of Use

Poke Connections is a free, fan-made browser puzzle: 16 Pokemon names, four hidden groups, four lives. It is not affiliated with NYT Connections, Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Pokennection. These terms cover https://pokeconnections.org/. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, leave the site.

The service

The game is free and runs in the browser. There is no account. I can change a board, a page, or these terms by editing the site. The last-updated line is the notice. There is no refund because there is no charge.

Acceptable use

Do not break the site, probe it for access you were not given, or overload it. Do not scrape the archive and republish the boards as your own puzzle. Linking to a date on its month archive page is fine. Do not send malware through the contact address.

Intellectual property

The words on these pages, the puzzle selection, and the site design belong to the Poke Connections desk except where a source is linked. Pokemon names and related marks belong to their owners. Pokemon.com's legal page is the reference I use for that split. I do not claim a licence from Nintendo or The Pokemon Company.

Puzzles you build

The maker can copy a link that stores your four groups in the address hash. That hash is not a separate indexed page. You keep responsibility for the names you typed. You grant the site a licence to display the puzzle if you choose to load that link here. I can refuse a link that copies another game's daily. There is no account, so I cannot always see a hash you never sent.

No warranty

The site is provided as available. I do not warrant that a group label will match a future Pokedex revision, that a streak will survive clearing site data, or that the site will be up on a given day. To the extent the law allows, the desk is not liable for lost streaks or for decisions you make from a comparison table. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let me limit.
