Poke Connections is a free, fan-made browser puzzle: 16 Pokemon names, four hidden groups, four lives. Unlimited is the same board with no daily lock and no account. It is not affiliated with NYT Connections, Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, or Pokennection.

Public sites use the word unlimited for two different products. Pokennection's how-to-play page says an unlimited run is saved with an account and ends when you lose a puzzle. poconnections.com describes a separate browser practice mode that keeps no server record. I ship the second shape: new boards generated in this browser from a fresh seed, a streak stored only on this device, and a run that ends on the first loss.

Daily versus Unlimited

Name the category out loud before the fourth tile locks. If you cannot say it, you are guessing, and guesses are the lives this mode is for spending.

Leave the purple group last. On these boards purple is a legendary set, a mythical set, a baby set, or one evolution line. Those labels are narrow, so they survive after the broad groups are gone.

When the run ends, read the revealed row before you start again. The next board will not repeat the lesson if you skip it.

Each next-board action advances the saved index and generates a new board from that seed. There is no fixed 24-board loop. The generator checks the supported Pokedex properties and discards boards with another complete partition under those properties.
