Poke Connections is a free, fan-made browser puzzle. It is not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokemon Company, NYT Connections, or Pokennection. The two fan games share a shape: 16 names, four hidden groups. Pokennection is made by StayTiny Games. This site writes its own boards from a public Pokedex extract and does not publish Pokennection's daily answers.

What their public pages say
StayTiny Games says the studio has been building since 2025, and a devlog dates Pokennection 1.0.0 to 27 May 2026. The how-to-play page footer shows 1.12.3. These describe the initial release and the current public footer, not conflicting current-version claims. Polygon's article on 15 Jul 2026 describes hard categories and an Adventure mode of Kanto routes, gyms, and the Game Corner, and says Johto was promised.
The how-to-play page lists 16 tiles, four groups, four lives, Images or Names, difficulty tiers, a no-overlap option, 5×5 with five lives, Group Hunter, Cascade, 4×3, Unlimited that needs an account, and Adventure. Their privacy policy names AdSense, Playwire, Google Analytics, Supabase, and Vercel. That is their stack, not this site's.
A similarly named domain is a separate website; its footer is not evidence for StayTiny’s launch date.

Open Pokennection if you want their Adventure map, their community puzzles, or their account-backed unlimited run. Open this site if you want a daily with published hints and answers for these boards, practice that generates new boards without an account, or a maker that flags a name fitting two groups.
I am not copying their category names, their daily solutions, or their mode layouts. Strategy on this site is about counting properties in the extract. Their hard categories, as Polygon describes them, include things like a four-times weakness and split evolutions. Those are their puzzles.
